Verse 113 — On Wisdom and Discernment

« Better indeed is it to live one day seeing the rise and fall of things than to live a hundred years without ever seeing the rise and fall of things. »

Practice Peacefully

Observe the spontaneous ebb and flow of the breath without seeking to retain it. Feel the emergence of a bodily sensation, its rise, then its decline. Note the fleeting passage of a thought like a cloud crossing the sky. Cling to nothing that arises; mourn nothing that passes away. Rest in the unmoving witness that observes this perpetual dance. Allow a sense of lightness to settle in response to events.
