Dear friends,
Since 2002, Buddhachannel has sought to introduce the world to Buddhist traditions.
Throughout all these years, we have met masters, monks, nuns, practitioners, and seekers of truth from many schools and countries.
We wanted to be a bridge.
Then silence came.
A silence of several years.
A silence sometimes necessary to let things mature.
During this period, the world changed. Technologies changed. Ways of communicating changed. The expectations of women and men changed.
But some questions remain:
Today, Buddhachannel is reborn.
True to its original spirit, we will continue to unveil the richness of the world's Buddhist traditions, in their diversity and complementarity.
But we also wish to go further.
We want to offer wisdom that is practiced.
A wisdom that accompanies daily life.
A wisdom open to all, believers or non-believers, Buddhists or non-Buddhists.
Every week, we will offer simple practices, tales, meditations, reflections, gestures for the Earth, encounters with traditions, and experiences to live.
After many years of keeping a low profile, we will speak up more.
Not as a master, or masters.
Not as a guide.
Simply as a fellow traveler.
We have been fortunate to meet remarkable women and men across several continents.
We have learned from different traditions.
We have discovered that wisdom is not found only in temples and monasteries.
It is also found in a garden, in a forest, in a family, in a sincere conversation, in the attention given to a tree, a plant, or a living being.
With my wife, Aliénor, with the friends of Buddhachannel, and with all those who will accompany us in this new adventure, we wish to build a space for encounter, practice, and sharing.
A space where traditions dialogue.
A space where wisdom comes alive.
A space where everyone can progress at their own pace.
The path continues.
And we will be happy to walk it with you.
Alain and Aliénor Delaporte-Digard
We are not seeking to create a new belief.
We return to what is already here.
In every human being exists a simple capacity: to breathe, to feel, to understand, to calm.
We call this Ordinary Wisdom.
A wisdom without dogma, without hierarchy, without separation.
Inspired by humanity's great traditions, but free from all affiliation, it is lived in daily life.
One breath after another.
One gesture after another.
One gaze after another.
Facing the fears, conflicts, and confusion of the world, we choose another strength: the Breath of Peace.
We care for humanity, but also for all forms of life.
For taking care of the Earth, is taking care of ourselves.
We move forward with a simple awareness: Earth Consciousness — Balance of the World.
Step by step, without violence, without rupture,
but with a clear presence and a living commitment.
