Verse 122 — The Accumulation of Wholesome Deeds

“Do not disregard good, thinking, 'It will not come to me.' By the fall of drops of water, the jar is filled; in the same way, the wise person becomes full of good, even little by little.”

*Puṇya*

“Do not disregard good, thinking, 'It will not come to me.' By the fall of drops of water, the jar is filled; in the same way, the wise person becomes full of good, even little by little.”

Practice Peacefully

Perform a simple act of kindness or care without expecting anything in return. Appreciate the suppression of a negative impulse, no matter how modest. Feel each righteous act as a drop of pure water poured into your being. Persevere in the regularity of your small daily disciplines. Observe the silent and profound transformation taking place within you. Rest in the certainty of the cumulative effect of goodness.
