Verse 13 — The Agitation of Desires

« Just as rain penetrates a poorly roofed house, so passion penetrates an untrained mind. »

Practice Peacefully

Locate the vulnerability where agitation or impulse seeks to rush in. Bring your attention back to the center of the chest and solidify your posture. Do not fight against temptation; simply strengthen your presence. Feel the breath as a soft shield, impermeable to enticements. Refuse to be distracted by transient noises and desires. Remain sheltered and serene within the solid structure of your axis.
