Verse 19 — Embodied Practice

“Even if he recites many sacred texts, the indolent man who does not act accordingly is like a shepherd counting other people's cows: he does not share in the life…”

*Paṭhana*

“Even if he recites many sacred texts, the indolent man who does not act accordingly is like a shepherd counting other people's cows: he does not share in the spiritual life.”

Practice Peacefully

Observe if you accumulate concepts without applying them in the flesh. Choose a single learned truth and embody it in a simple gesture. Feel the difference between intellectual knowledge and direct experience. Align your posture and breath with the principle of presence. Refuse the trap of erudite discourse if it remains disconnected from lived experience. Become the guardian of your own inner flock.
