Verse 3 — The Absence of Resentment

“He insulted me, he struck me, he defeated me, he robbed me”—in those who harbor such thoughts, hatred is never appeased.

Practice Peacefully

Observe the mental narrative that replays a past offense or harm. Release the victim posture by relaxing the tension in the diaphragm. Feel that rumination sustains the wound far more than the initial act. Exhale deeply, visualizing that you are cutting the thread of the toxic memory. Detach from the need to obtain external reparation or an apology. Rest in the calm of a mind that refuses to be held hostage.
