Verse 50 — Self-Examination
“Do not contemplate the faults of others, nor what they have done or neglected to do; rather, contemplate what you yourself have done or neglected to do.”

Practice Peacefully
When judgment about a loved one's attitude arises, turn your gaze inward. Release the tension in your face and the stiffness in your neck related to judgment. Ask yourself: “What is my own responsibility in this moment?” Observe your shortcomings and oversights with total honesty but without shame. Rectify your own conduct before seeking to correct that of the world. Feel the peace that arises from returning to your own sphere of action.
